CIE Taubaté

The plant was inaugurated in 1996 as Gamesa Automotiva with the objective of satisfying the demand of transmission components for GMB. It was subsequently acquired by Mondragon group and operated under the name of Promauto. Finally, in 2003, it was acquired and incorporated to CIE Automotive Group as Autometal Taubaté. Our mission is to be leader of steel, aluminium and iron cast machined automotive components for transmission, engine and chassis with high value-added processes, which respect the safety and environment and satisfy the interests of our stakeholders.
