CIE Automotive challenges the sector with a record profit of 326 million euros in 2024

Increases sales and results with a high level of cash generation that brings debt to historic lows

Bilbao, 27.2.2025 – CIE Automotive has presented today the results for the 2024 financial year, challenging with significant growth an Automotive industry weakened by uncertainties.

Sales have exceeded 3.96 billion euros, which represents a growth of 1.1%, outperforming by more than 2 basic points the decrease in global vehicle production.

In terms of operating margins, an EBITDA – gross operating profit – of 728 million has been reached, and an EBIT – net operating profit – of 538 million euros, which represents margins of 18.4% and 13.6% respectively, significantly higher than the average margins of the sector.

All of the above results in a record net profit of 326 million which, on a comparable perimeter, represents a growth of almost 5% compared to 2023.

According to Jesús María Herrera, CEO of CIE Automotive, “We continue growing above the market, improving our results, and above all, we continue with an extremely high cash generation that has brought our leverage to historic lows, which, in the current sectoral context, highlights the value of our management model and our positioning as a reference supplier in the global Automotive industry”.

And he adds: “For all these reasons and due to our expectations for the current year, we are in a position to reconfirm that the commitments of the 2025 Strategic Plan will be fulfilled.”

CIE Automotive publishes its 2024 Tax Contribution Report: Over €507 million contributed to society

Bilbao, March 3rd, 2025CIE Automotive has published its 2024 Tax Contribution Report, providing a transparent and detailed account of its economic contribution to the jurisdictions where it operates.

In 2024, CIE Automotive’s total tax contribution amounted to €507.1 million, representing a 2% increase compared to the previous year. Of this total, €265.3 million correspond to taxes borne directly by the company, while €241.8 million were collected on behalf of third parties. This tax contribution rate represents 58.5% of the company’s pre-tax profit.

Jesús Mª Herrera, CEO of the company, emphasized that “tax responsibility, transparency, and an effective tax contribution are fundamental pillars of our approach to sustainable taxation, reflecting our commitment to the communities where we operate.”

With operations in 20 countries and more than 130 corporate entities, CIE Automotive ensures that its tax contribution is aligned with its economic activity, maintaining a balanced presence in mature and emerging markets.

For the fourth consecutive year, CIE Automotive has been awarded the three-star transparency seal by Fundación Haz, evidencing its commitment to excellence in tax governance and responsibility. Additionally, it secured first place in the Informe Reporta 2024 ranking, recognizing the quality of its tax reporting and corporate transparency.

CIE Automotive integrates tax management into its sustainability strategy, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and OECD international tax standards. The company has proactively prepared for the implementation of the Pillar Two Global Minimum Tax, reinforcing its commitment to fair and responsible taxation.
