The CIE Automotive Group works to strike the perfect balance between its industrial activity and its environment. With our approach of systematic review, we prevent and minimise the environmental impact of our activities right from the product design stage. Our knowledge of production processes allows us to decide which aspects to focus our attention on in order to optimise consumption of raw materials, energy, and water.
CIE Automotive has a state-of-the-art recycling system that allows thousands of tonnes of aluminium shavings from machining to be reused for casting new parts, sand scrap metal to be used as raw material for the melting towers.
Water is another of the most intensively used resources when manufacturing of parts that require high-temperature processing. CIE Automotive has its own facilities for treating and recovering water at different qualities and thus minimise unnecessary discharge.

Emissions Reduction
The company is commited to reducing total scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 57.9% by 2033, and to reducing scope 3 emissions by 54.6% by 2033, (both figures compared to a 2021 baseline).
Net-Zero Target
CIE Automotive is commited to achieving "net-zero" greenhouse gas emissions in its value chain by 2050.
